Région Normandie

Normandy is the first Region to have approved, as early as June 2016, the joint elaboration of the Regional Scheme for Economic Development, Business, Innovation and Internationalization (SRDEEII) and the Regional Scheme for Higher Education, Research and Innovation (SRESRI) for more efficiency and readability of regional policies.

The ambition is to make Normandy a territory of excellence, innovation and experimentation through public and private research and the training of its students.

Hervé Morin, president of Région Normandie, declared :

LCS (Laboratoire catalyse et spectrochimie)

The Catalysis and Spectrochemistry Laboratory (LCS) has built its reputation on the operando spectroscopy of the catalyst, i.e. the observation of the material in the chemical reactor, in real time, during the reaction. Since 2009, the LCS has also been recognized worldwide for its research into the design of microporous materials, such as zeolites, with very specific properties. With a very strong pole in infrared spectroscopy, but also in NMR and Raman spectroscopy, the LCS occupies a unique place in the field of automotive depollution, in energy production and in the field of bioresources.

ENSICAEN

ENSICAEN, Caen National Engineering School is one of 204 French engineering schools accredited as of September 1ᵉʳ, 2020 to award an engineering degree. Located in Caen, Normandy, the school was founded in 1976 under the name « Institut des sciences de la matière et du rayonnement ».

ENSICAEN offers a classical engineering education, but also provides continuing education and work-study programs. The research of the establishment is specialized in several axes: photonics, materials, computing, instrumentation, chemistry and particle physics.

Unicaen

The University of Caen Normandie – UNICAEN, is a major player in promoting and developing higher education and research in Normandy. The University of Caen Normandie is part of Normandie Université and welcomes more than 30,000 students each year on several campuses in the Caen area and in the regions of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, Alençon, Lisieux, Saint-Lô and Vire.

The University of Caen, like many of its counterparts, has experienced very strong growth since the inauguration of its new premises in June 1957. It has grown from 4,000 students to approximately 25,000 in 2005, and more than 32,000 fifteen years later.

GFZ

The Groupe Français des Zéolithes is an association governed by the law of July 1, 1901.

The purpose of this association is to promote and stimulate fundamental and applied research related to the science of zeolites and microporous solids.

IZA

The International Zeolite Association (IZA) was organized in 1973 at the 3rd International Molecular Sieve Conference to promote and encourage the development of all aspects of zeolite science and technology.

FEZA

The objects of The Federation of the European Zeolite Associations (FEZA) are to improve communication and collaboration between researchers in Europe, to generally advance education for the benefit of the public in the study of zeolite molecular sieves, including the technology and application thereof in the areas of chemistry, geology, chemical engineering and other branches of science or engineering, the undertaking of research and the publication of the useful results of such research.
